How do I make sure that I receive new guidelines cards when I upload records?

Our records upload page will now require you to select 2020 or 2025 guidelines cards. Please only select 2025 after you have completed the transition requirements.

How do I take the online transition training?

We are sending online class links via email to all aligned instructors. You will receive a class assignment for each discipline you currently hold. Please follow the link to complete the training through AHA's Training Central platform.

Once you complete the online training course, please email your completion certificate to admin@cprschoolhouse.com

I didn't receive an email to take a transition class.  What should I do?

Check your spam folder first and if you still cannot find the class assignment email just reach out to us via phone or email and we can re-send the invitation link.

What happens if I don't complete the transition training?

If you don't complete the online training or purchase new materials, you will not be able to teach any classes after March 1, 2026 until both are completed. Your instructor certification will remain valid until it's expiration date.

What happens to my existing eCards?

Any eCards in your inventory on March 1st 2026 will automatically convert to the new 2025 Guidelines cards.

What materials do I have to purchase?

You must purchase the Instructor Manual, Course Video (DVD, Digital or Download) and the Student Manual/Workbook for each discipline you teach. Please remember that you must have one Student Manual / Workbook for each student in your class.

When can I start teaching the new classes?

You can begin teaching 2025 guidelines classes as soon as you have both completed the online Transition Training and send proof of purchase (Photo or online receipt) of your updated materials. You must wait until you actually receive the materials to send us the proof of purchase.

Question 9

Which online transition course do I take?

Each instructor must complete an online transition class for each discipline they hold a certificate for. BLS Instructors need to complete the transition course for BOTH BLS and Heartsaver even if you never teach HeartSaver classes.

As an example: An instructor who has an ACLS Instructor and BLS Instructor certificate would need to complete 3 transition classes. (ACLS, BLS, and Heartsaver).

If you are a BLS Instructor and do not teach ANY heartsaver classes, you do not need to purchase Heartsaver materials but you still need to complete the online transition training.
